Not surprisingly, again in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, & 2018, Ms. Richards was entered into the Missouri Bar Pro Bono Wall of Fame for her commitment of time, professional skill and legal knowledge, providing access to justice for those who cannot afford legal counsel, and for her commitment to the highest ideals of the legal profession.
She has also been recognized by the Jefferson County Bar Association for her pro bono work.
Ms. Richards firmly believes in giving back to the community and her participation as a volunteer attorney for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri is just one of many ways that she serves the area in which she practices.
In her everyday practice of law, Ms. Richards takes to heart the following words of Leon Higginbotham, judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, that he once said to a graduating class:
"I will make two requests of you. They are, that you always attempt to see those human beings who become invisible to most people, and that you always try to hear the pleas of those persons who, despite their pain and suffering, have become voiceless and forgotten."
